Fantastic day despite the december day length against us, artillary landing left right and centre (and no where in some cases  ) capturing, losing and recapturing the same point several times. The amount of period stuff there allowed me to really get into the game. First WW2 event i've done and it wont be the only one (see what did there?) a big thankyou to the organisers behind this and gucci for letting them 1940's his place up, see you next time guys and gals

Big thanks from us to all the organisers.

Thanks as well to Tony, Phil and Paul of Baker Company.

We both thoroughly enjoyed it especially the morning's play - legging it down the hill away from the artillery strike - our counter attack across the road - defending Bastogne - it really did feel like the movies.

Our best airsoft day yet!

The limited ammo worked a treat too with everyone firing short bursts.

One idea for next time - how about giving the commanders and company leaders radios? I know it's not accurate but might have helped. Steve's pleas for information were starting to sound desparate at one point. Or, to keep in the mood, have maybe two or three people designated radio carriers, with a walkie talkie attached by string to their backpack. Just an idea.

The only trouble is, I now need a BAR or Bren, an MP40 would be nice too......

(By the way, sorry to the american I shot just as we took Bastogne, oops!)

You wouldn't understand Gadge, it's quite fashionable amongst the youth these days! (I knew I should have done an inspection of that parade  ).

Just got myself registered.
Wanted to say big thanks to all who organised Sunday's activities
It was a first class Airsofting event. Special thanks to the small British contingent for making me part of the team (I was the bearded Para with the AK47 (err Bren Gun).

This was my first WWII event but it won't be my last.

Can't wait for the next one.

Well here is a small video clip untill I make a better one.

Great day I hope to get down to the next WW2 with my Jeep has anyone got a airsoft 30cal I can put on the mount for the day?
Only problem is the time of year with the weather for driving there from Aintree, and the site does not have an area big enough for a jeep to move in :P

So it looks like Fineshade will be more suitable if Chris gets a WW2 in the nice weather.
